Lumileds New Very Small, Very Powerful LUXEON HL1Z Opens Opportunities to Create Compact Solutions with Precise Beam Control
Lumileds' latest high power CSP LED is the LUXEON HL1Z, a domeless, single-sided emitter that delivers high efficacy of 137lm/W or more from a very small package of just 1.4mm square. Top emission prevents "cross talk" and contributes to superior color quality relative to angle performance and color consistency. Compactness and directional emission allow engineers to create tight arrays and precisely control the beam, which provides a way to smaller optical solutions and reduce system cost. The LUXEON HL1Z is particularly ideal for high center beam candle power applications such as high-end retail outlets, adjustable white solutions, aftermarket automotive and other high intensity lighting array.
Lumileds pioneered the high-power LED space with LUXEON over two decades ago, and the company continues to develop new and distinctive solutions for lighting solution manufacturers, such as the LUXEON HL1Z.
“Lighting engineers take full advantage of the light output-to-size ratio typical of LEDs,” he said. "Emitters like the HL1Z provide new design freedom without sacrificing quality or efficiency."
LUXEON HL1Z is immediately available in CCTs from 3000K to 6500K and CRIs of 80 and 90 through the Lumileds distribution network. Additional CCT/CRI combinations will arrive in the coming months and will be available for pre-order.
